# Set up a card terminal

From unpacking to registration in Spreat. Choose your device first, and its guide appears below.

## Your card terminal

Which device do you have?

### [Stripe Reader S700/S710](https://beta.spreat.com/support/card-terminals?device=stripe-reader-s700)

from Stripe

### [BBPOS WisePOS E](https://beta.spreat.com/support/card-terminals?device=bbpos-wisepos-e)

from Stripe

### SumUp Solo

from SumUp

## 1. Charge and switch on

Charge the Solo with the USB-C cable on a power adapter or in its charging station. Then hold the power button on the right side until the screen turns on. Keep the Solo plugged in while you use it.

Choose your language and tap “Let’s go”.

## 2. Do not log in

The Solo then shows the login. Do not log in here: Spreat only connects a Solo that is logged out. Everything else is in the menu at the top edge.

If the Solo is already logged in, open the menu at the top edge and tap “Settings”, “About” and “Log out”.

## 3. Connect to the internet

Swipe down from the top edge to open the menu. Tap “Connections” and then “Wi-Fi”. Choose your Wi-Fi and enter its password. The Solo only connects to a Wi-Fi that has a password.

## 4. Install updates

If the Solo offers an update, install it and wait until it has restarted.

## 5. Show the registration code

Open the menu again and tap “Connections”, “API” and “Connect”. The Solo shows a code of eight or nine letters and digits, for example `918MPQHZ`. It is valid for five minutes.

## If something does not work

- **Code expired:** A code is valid for five minutes. Under “Connections” and “API”, tap “Connect” again and enter the new code.
- **Solo is logged in:** Spreat cannot connect a Solo that is logged in. Log it out as described under “Do not log in”.
- **Paired with another system:** Under “Connections” and “API”, tap “Disconnect” and then generate a new code.
- **No connection:** Check under “Connections” and “Wi-Fi” whether the Solo is connected to the Wi-Fi. It does not accept a Wi-Fi without a password.
